As many of you know, Thunder Bay Family Network has been engaged in advocacy efforts in our area regarding the government's plans for the Ontario Autism Program. The announcement by Minister MacLeod on March 21st highlighted some changes and showed that advocacy works!  But they are not done yet and TBFN is happy to share that they've partnered together with OPSEU for a campaign that will continue to fight for families and ask for further changes to autism service delivery. A road show of events throughout the Northwest is being planned for April and, if you are interested in learning more, TBFN invites you to participate in a planning meeting being held on Saturday, April 6th at 4:30pm at Victoria Inn. If you are able to attend please rsvp your attendance to sharon@tbfn.ca

Thunder Bay Family Network is also looking to collect stories from families for a written package as well as have some families who may be interested in sharing their stories come to the events that will be held. If you know of any families who may be willing to share and can connect them with them that would be very much appreciated. TBFN and OPSEU will be reaching out as well and are looking for engagement across the Northwest.
