OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
1 – FULL-TIME POSITION
Salary: $39.17 – $40.80 per hour
(commensurate with qualifications and experience)

Position will require:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a school recognized by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists
- Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
- Experience providing occupational therapy services to people with developmental disabilities within a multidisciplinary setting
- Experience developing and delivering training for caregivers, families, and service providers
- Knowledge of occupational therapy assessment, intervention planning, adaptive equipment, seating, mobility, feeding, sensory integration, and activities of daily living
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, provide consultation, and evaluate outcomes
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic documentation systems
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain and maintain certification
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training, or willingness to obtain and maintain certification
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and appropriate insurance coverage
- Ability to travel locally on a daily basis and within the district several times per year
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing occupational therapy services to people with developmental disabilities. As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the successful candidate will assess service needs, develop and implement treatment plans, provide consultation and recommendations regarding adaptive equipment, and support people in achieving their personal goals.
The Occupational Therapist will work closely with people in our supported living services, caregivers, community agencies, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to promote inclusion, independence, and quality of life. Responsibilities also include maintaining clinical documentation, participating in team meetings, providing education and training, and supporting best practices in occupational therapy service delivery.
