Tony DeAgazio, Executive Director
Tony DeAgazio is a respected executive leader with more than 40 years of experience in finance, human resources, labour relations, organizational leadership, and community services. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lakehead University and professional designations as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CMA) and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL).
Throughout his distinguished career in Northwestern Ontario, Tony has held senior leadership positions in both the public and nonprofit sectors, providing strategic direction in financial management, human resources, labour relations, governance, organizational development, and operational excellence. His unique combination of accounting and human resources expertise has enabled him to lead complex organizations through periods of growth, transformation, and continuous improvement.
As Executive Director of Options Northwest in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Tony has led initiatives focused on strengthening organizational culture, enhancing service quality, improving operational effectiveness, and advancing person-centred supports for individuals living with developmental disabilities. He is recognized for fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, innovation, and employee engagement while maintaining a strong commitment to the dignity, inclusion, and potential of every person served.
Over the course of his career, Tony has earned a reputation as a compassionate and values-driven leader who believes that exceptional organizations are built through empowered employees, strong leadership teams, meaningful community partnerships, and a relentless focus on continuous improvement. His leadership philosophy emphasizes integrity, gratitude, collaboration, and the belief that every individual deserves the opportunity to live their best life.
As he approaches retirement following a four-decade career of service, Tony is proud of the positive impact made alongside countless colleagues, community partners, and frontline professionals whose dedication has strengthened organizations and improved lives throughout the region.
